CLASS ROOMS
The
PSG College of Nursing has well ventilated classrooms with comfortable
seating arrangements. Each classroom is equipped with Black Boards,
OHPs and a Public address system. |

LABORATORIES
Each department of the
PSG College of Nursing has separate laboratories which are fully equipped.
The laboratories are :
Laboratories are utilized for demonstrations
and student practice of procedures under supervision.
LIBRARY
|
The library at the
PSG College of Nursing is a store house of knowledge stocking more
than 10,000 books of current Medical and Nursing titles and subscribes
to about 169 journals. The library houses several reading halls
for students and faculty members, a separate journal section, reference
book sections, lounges for news paper reading and issue counters.
The library widens its services through Medline, Meddlers, CINHAL,
CD-ROMS and Internet facilities. The students are rendered guidance
by the qualified librarians.

CLINICAL FACILITIES
The PSG Hospital is a well-known multi
speciality hospital in the city of Coimbatore. It is a 817 bedded hospital
with 26 specialty departments offering expert care.The students gain
clinical experience through block postings at the various departments
of PSG Hospitals
namely:
the
department of Medicine& Surgery,
Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, Pulmonology,
ENT,Ophthalmology, Psychiatry, Cardiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery,
Neurology, Nephrology, Hepatology, Diabetology. |

The students also gain clinical experience
from affiliated institutions, which are specialized hospitals providing
clinical experience in speciality areas. They are:
Institute of Mental Health, Kilpauk, Chennai for Mental Health Nursing
and Coimbatore Corporation Maternity centres for Maternity Nursing experience.
COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSING:

The PSG College of
Nursing offers field experience for the students in the community
through postings at rural and urban areas of Coimbatore. The areas
utilized for experience are PSG Rural health centres at Vedapatti,
Neelambur, Vellalur and the Urban health centre at Peelamedu, Coimbatore. |
HOSTEL
The PSG hostel offers
comfortable stay for the students within the campus during their
course of study. The hostel is clean and comfortable, and each room
is provided with adequate facilities for stay and study. The hostel
has a visitors’ lounge, recreation hall,
study hall, prayer hall, facilities for indoor games, magazines
reading and television.
Mess facilities are available with a well maintained dining hall
adjacent to the hostel.
Vegetarian/ Non-Vegetarian meals are prepared hygienically and served
aesthetically. |

SPORTS AND RECREATION
| The college provides
sports and recreation facilities for the students through the department
of Physical education. There are two Physical Directors (One male
and one female) available to give coaching and training for the
students. |
|
The sports facilities
includes outdoor games like Volleyball, Basket Ball, Hand Ball,
Tennikoit, Tennis, Shuttle and Ball Badminton and indoor games
like Table Tennis, Carrom and Chess |
|
There is also a large play ground for
atheletic and field events like running, shot put, Javeline and Discuss
throw.
