TNNMC Best Nurse Educator award – 2022

Dr.A.Jaysudha, Principal was awarded as a “TNNMC Best Nurse Educator of the year 2023”. The award was given by the Chief Guest, T.Sumathy Thamizhachi Thangapandian on 09th May 2023 at “Muthamizh Peravai, T.N Rajarathinam Kalai Arangam”, Chennai.

Distinguished Alumni award – 2022

Dr.Nandhini, Alumni of 1995 batch was awarded “Distinguished Alumni award” on Founder’s day programme 25th January 2022.

Ph.D award – 2021

Prof. Dr. Baskaran. M has received the Ph.D award from The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University, Chennai on 20th December, 2021.

Academic Excellence and Outstanding Contribution to Research award – 2021

Prof. Dr. Baskaran. M has received the Academic Excellence and Outstanding Contribution to Research award from International Centre for Collaborative Research and Alumni Association, Omayal Achi College of Nursing, Chennai on 17th December 2021.

Women Researcher Award– 2021

Dr. A. Jayasudha, Principal has been awarded “Women Researcher Award” in the International Scientist Awards on Engineering, Science and Medicine on 28.08.2021 & 29.08.2021 at Trivandrum, organized by VDGOOD Professional Association.

Poornima Mary Rodriguez, Associate Professor, Department of Mental Health Nursing, PSG College of Nursing for excellence in Teaching Learning, Professional Development, Institutional Versatility, Curriculum development, Community Commitment in the Junior Category on the occasion of Teachers’ Day.

Certificate of Appreciation Award:

PSG College of Nursing was honored with the Certificate of Appreciation for the Best performance in YRC Movement in the Year of 2015-2016. Dr.G.Malarvizhi, Principal i/c, and Mrs.Rajeswari.S. Programme officer received the award from Dr.Harish.L.Metha, Chairman, Indian red cross society Tamilnadu branch.The Certificate of Appreciation was given to 2 faculty & 18 students who actively participated in the Deaf Project phase –II.

IMA – QUIZ towards International Nurses Day – 2016

Students from BSc(N), MSc (N) and faculty also participated in the Medical Quiz conducted by the Indian Medical Association, Coimbatore branch at IMA Hall, Coimbatore on 20.04.2016. This was to mark the International Nurses Day, May, 8th 2016. Totally 10 members participated in the competition (Two faculty, 2 PG students and 6 UG students). Out of 31 teams participated, we won the 1st and III prizes. Prize Winners were awarded with trophies and certificates.

Certificates and prizes were given for the students and also two awards for the college for motivating the students. Prof. Meera Saravanan co-ordinated the programme.

Dr.G.Malarvizhi,Principal Incharge encouraged and appreciated the students for their success and she asked the students to motivate their peers to continue the good work.

Intercollegiate Quiz Competition

Students participated in ‘Intercollegiate Quiz Competition’held at ‘Vinayaka Missions Annapoorna College of Nursing, Salem on 29.1.16 and won The First Prize. Students won the trophy consecutively for the past three years , the rolling trophy will be retained by our Institution permanently.

Certificate of Appreciation Award:

PSG College of Nursing was honored with the Certificate of Appreciation for the Best performance in YRC Movement in the Year of 2013-2014.Dr.G.MALARVIZHI, Principal Incharge received the award from Prof Dr. A.Ganapathy, Vice Chancellor of Bharathiar University, Coimbatore on 28th March 2016.

PROF ELIZABETH JEAN ABRAHAM, Principal received the ‘BEST TEACHER AWARD’ on the occasion of International Nurses Day Celebration at the Tamilnadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai on 12th of May 2012.

Indian Red Cross Society had appreciated PROF ELIZABETH JEAN ABRAHAM with the HONORARIUM AWARD for the PROJECT OF DEAF 2011-12 for her active participation in the project DEAF 2nd phase on the World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day, May 24, 2012. She was awarded by Thiru M.Karunagaran, I.A.S. , the President / District Collector of Coimbatore.

World Red Cross Day was celebrated by Indian Red Cross Society, Coimbatore District Branch on 24.5.2012 and honoured PSG College of Nursing as the best functioning of YRC at District Level. MRS KALAIARASI P, Assistant Professor, YRC Coordinator of PSG College of Nursing has been awarded as the BEST YRC PROGRAMME OFFICER for the year 2011-12 and Appreciation Award for the PROJECT OF DEAF 2011-12 on the World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day, May 24, 2012. She was honoured by Thiru M.Karunagaran, I.A.S., the President / District Collector of Coimbatore for her volunteer meritorious support in rendering her service in ‘DEAF’ project – phase 2”.
